Bombzooka Unlocked! ...and Rules PDF

This update comes a little later than planned today but at long last here it is:
With 1800 backers we unlocked Bombzooka for all copies of Quodd Heroes!
To explain how Bombzooka works I decided to create a graphic (artwork and text on card is a prototype).
The Rulebook
Today was a very busy day with so a lot on behind the scenes. I spent the day interacting with backers, planning, updating graphics and finding a way to translate an InDesign file to Google Docs. To make a long story short I've decided to share a link to a PDF of the first half of the Alpha rules while I sort out getting the rules into Google Docs in as clean a format as possible.
This PDF covers the general game play rules, tokens, movement, card play etc.
Remember that this in an alpha document, It will have typos, spelling errors and isn't well organized. My goal is to condense these pages (roughly 16) down to no more than 8 pages in the final rules. Part of that will come down to better formatting and layout but mostly it will be about improving the clarity and simplicity of the wording and explanations. Essentially every aspect of the rules: formatting, organization, layout, graphics, artwork, and language will be vastly improved before it goes to print.
This alpha version is offered at this stage to satisfy those who want to know more specifics and who want to contribute to improving the language and structure of the final rules. The final rules won't be completed until after the campaign ends.
The second half of the rule book which covers the Scenarios is not included at this point. Mike and I are reworking the scenarios and will post them individually as they are ready to show. There will also be a Quick start tutorial campaign to get players started more quickly and introduce the various mechanics and concepts step-by-step while telling the story of Quoddria and Fringe.

$200K! Happy Valentines Day!

Greetings Heroes!
Happy Valentines day to all of you out there in Quoddria! Hitting $200,000 today was a special gift and with that magic number comes what may be the most significant unlocked stretch goal of the campaign!
MAP EDITOR AND GRAPHICS UNLOCKED!
I will make all of the graphics available to all backers for free once all of the art is ready. I will also provide a link to the free software tool I use to create them. Sharing these tools and art goes hand-in-hand with the community portal that will be part of QuoddHeroes.com when it is complete this will allow sharing of ideas and maps between players for limitless creative possibilities. From the very beginning, three years ago this was part of my dream for Quodd Heroes and I'm very excited about it!
Moving forward
We are right on the cusp of unlocking the 1800 backers stretch goal of "Bombzooka". Bombzooka brings new cards and tokens to Quodd Heroes. If you're curious about what Bombzooka is all about, just look at the box art!
I'll have an update tomorrow regarding upcoming Live Streams I plan to do. If you guys have a suggestion for a time that works best let me know and I'll try to accommodate. I'll lively be traveling this week to do some live play-test events in Ontario at some local game shops as well so that should be exciting! Perhaps a live stream from one of the events will be a possibility... we shall see.

Nim Unlocked and 1700 backers!

Happy Saturday Heroes!
Yesterday was a big day! Thanks to all of you we have unlocked Nim the air elemental, a character which will bring some interesting new abilities to the world of Quodd Heroes. I'm looking forward to revealing more information about him and and his artwork when it's ready.
We also reached 1700 backers at the same moment we unlocked Nim which puts Bombzooka within reach. Bombzooka is going to blow your mind (pun intended)! Bombzooka was something present in earlier versions of the game. Its back now, and it is going to be a lot of fun! I'll tell you all about it when we unlock it at 1800 backers.
I hope you guys have a great weekend. Try to spend some time outdoors and at your gaming tables enjoying your favorite games with friends!

Map Pack Add-on added

Greetings Heroes!
The first add-on: "Fringe Underground Map Pack" is now available in case you're interested. The Map pack includes 3 new large underground themed game boards, new tokens, cards and a few new scenarios. This is a completely optional purchase and is in no way required to have the full Quodd Heroes experience. Many backers have been asking for additional content and upgrades through add-ons. The underground is something I have been planning for quite some time and this is the easiest way for me to make it available to you.
This content will fit into the game box but will not ship inside the game box.
I will have further details and images once the artist has completed work for the new boards.
In order to purchase this add-on simply add $20 CAD to your current pledge. We will sort out the details in the pledge manage after the campaign.
