Friday Update

Hello heroes!

I hope you've had a fantastic week!  Its been a pretty eventful week in Quoddria!  The sculpting is still ongoing (unfortunately), but the characters are now finished!  The sheep miniature and crystal are all that's left from a sculpting standpoint and will officially begin the pre-manufacturing stage once I submit those to Panda.  I realize that this process is taking far longer than planned but it is what it is.  Quality trumps all!

Art continues to move along.  The player board artwork almost finished and Kamila is doing a great job as usual!  Sasha and I are working toward fine-tuning the look for the game boards before she goes into high gear with finishing those up.  I have a call with her this morning to discuss the recent samples she sent me.   I am very excited to show you the boards very soon.

On top of this I continue to refine icons and the iconographic language that will make this game intuitive but language independent.

There are lots of other things happening as well, from rules to scenario development. There is more than enough work to keep me busy for the next 6 weeks (when I send the print files to Panda).

Unfortunately there will not be a Live Stream this week.  I will do the next live stream on Monday morning after the weekend as I have house guests today which makes broadcasting a challenge.

Anyway that's all I have for now.  I will leave you with a few images to hold you over until Monday!

Hello Heroes!

I hope you're all doing marvelously out there in Quoddria, soaking up the spring sunshine (and jumping in all of the spring puddles as well!).

This has, as expected, been a very busy and eventful week.  Here's what's happening:

• The models are almost finished.  Yes, I know we're behind schedule but I can assure you that Anton is doing a great job, I just want to make sure that these little Quodds are as amazing as they can be for all of us! 
• The promised Google doc with the symbol language (icons and such) for the cards is still in progress.  I think i'll be using Facebook as it is an easier way to get feedback from everyone so please stay tuned and check out the Facebook page starting tomorrow.
• Art continues to move forward and Kamila is almost finished with the Item and Pet cards.  I'll attach a few of the new images and sketches below.
• The art for the boards will start this week.  I've found an artist who I know is going to do a great job on getting these done while Kamila focuses on the player board paintings, cards etc.
• Kickstarter Backer Xuan is going to be getting the rules into a Google doc so that we can begin the proofing process.  Once that's ready I'll give you guys a chance to look at it and comment etc.

Lots of other stuff is happening as well but I'll save that for future updates!

The next Live Stream will be on Friday at 11:30 am EST (-5 GMT) so I'm hoping some of you will be able to tune in for that.  There should be a lot to discuss so I'm hoping you come with lots of questions for me.

Finally, I'll leave you guys with some more art and a few renders of the models in their current states!

Arrrrrr there be TREASURE! Final Stretch goal revealed

Greetings Heroes!

I hope you're all enjoying your weekends so far!  As I mentioned during yesterday's Live Stream I have the final quote from Panda now so I was able to choose a practical addition for the $400K stretch goal.  I'm very excited about this!

6X TREASURE cards added to the game.

What is treasure?  Well they are super powerful cards that are rewards or special finds in certain scenarios.  These cards are not shuffled into the exploration deck as their game-changing nature is intended only for certain situations and games types.  These are items and pets (3x Item, 3x pet).  I will have the cards themselves and their artwork in a future update.

Hi Heroes,

I chose the wrong word to describe the last stretch goal in the previous update.  The additional cards are added for FREE to all copies of the game and are NOT and add-on.  Sorry for the confusion!
