Happy Friday Heroes!
I hope all is well in the world of Quoddria now that summer is finally here! Happy 4th of July (yesterday) and Canada Day (Monday) to all of you in the USA and Canada! I hope you spent lots of fun times playing games, eating delicious food and watching fireworks!
GEN CON HELP NEEDED!
Gen Con is fast approaching and one again I am looking for help in the booth. If you are heading down to Indianapolis or are considering doing so and want to help out at the Wonderment Games booth I could definitely use some help! There will be financial compensation as well as a badge if you need one! Quodd Heroes Tournament at Gen Con!
I have submitted an event for Thursday evening at Gen Con (pending approval) for a Quodd Heroes tournament. The scenario and format will be determined prior to the start of the event but rest assured it will be something new and fun! It will be competitive (but in the spirit of fun) and there will be some prizes and giveaways! Look for the event soon(ish) on the Gen Con event site!

Super Limited Edition Painted Minis
Getting all of these minis painted is taking a while but will be all done very soon. Here are a few photos of my progress with them. I am painting a few extra sets that I plan to bring along to Gen Con. I haven't decided if I will sell them or use them as a prize of some kind..

Hi Heroes!
Well it looks like fulfillment is almost wrapped up for the whole wide world! I couldn't be happier that Quodd Heroes is out in the world and hopefully making you guys smile! There are a few of the larger shipments that are still ongoing but most individual backers should now have their games.
Backer Support!
One of the things I didn't anticipate as well as I should have is the amount of support that would be required during and after fulfillment.
Support requests come in to broad categories:
Shipping :
This relates to anything related to packages including tracking numbers, damaged and/or missing parts, etc.
In North America, Asia and Australia this support has been largely handled (and quite well) by the team at QuarterMaster Logistics. They've handled dozens of requests. For anything that falls outside of the normal stuff (like significant damage, missing / stolen shipments etc.) they reach out to me for clarification on what to do on a case-by-case basis but they are the initial point of contact ([email protected]).
With Europe and RoW shipments there has been some confusion (on my part) as to how this would be handled. I expected happyshops would take care of these things as the shipper, it turns out this is not the case for Quodd Heroes. Therefore its take some time to figure out the process and deal with outstanding issues. I am working with Happyshops to get a process in place to expedite handling the outstanding issues that people have contacted me about.
If you have an issue with your shipment of any kind and you are in the EU / RoW region please send an email [email protected]even if you have already sent an email!
please include: details of your issue along with other relevant information including your full name and email address used in BackerKit and photos if you have damage issues. Even if you have already emailed me please do so again. I have implemented a customer support system that will create a support ticket for each new email that arrives. This will speed up my ability to take care of all of the issues that remain. Thanks for your understanding
Game Support:
This relates to questions about rules, box contents, etc.
Keeping up with both of these support categories has been challenging to say the least as I'm just one guy, who also has a day job. For game support questions arrive from a multitude of channels, through the KS comments thread, BGG, the Kickstarter page and groups, email, Facebook messages, twitter, and Instagram. Every day I get probably 100 such support requests, many of which have been answered several times each.
With that in mind I have (with the help of backers) created an FAQ to answer the most common questions. You can find it here:
The FAQ will reside on QuoddHeroes.com once the site is ready.
Updates to rule and scenarios:
The rulebook and scenario book are living documents which means that I plan to update them as regularly as I can to make them more clear and as easy to understand as possible as well as fix any errors that are found.
At this point the scenario book has been updated to include some errors that were found but the rulebook is unchanged.
From the number of questions I'm receiving it appears that the rules are not as clear as I had hoped. Regarding this here are a few tips:
Don't over-complicate things:
If the rules don't say something it likely means you can't do it. When a rule is mentioned in the rulebook it generally means EXACTLY what it says and isn't open to interpretation. Despite this, its a game where no two games are ever alike and there are lots of interactions that come up that you may not have a specific description for in the rulebook. Generally these situations are resolved by following each individual rule for the elements involved and the order of operations (Board elements before skills) and you will find your answers, if not, there's the FAQ and I'm around to answer things that come up.
Instructional Video:
I have been working on the tutorial video on and off for weeks between various other tasks and hope to have them up soon. The first video I publish will be a walk-through of the tutorial scenarios and teaching you how to play step by step by playing through it. I'm hoping to have this up by the end of day tomorrow (Friday May 17).
Painting Live-Stream

At this point most of you should have your games or at least a shipping notification. The exception to this are some people in the EU. and ASIA. HappyShops says that they are wrapping up shipping everything this week so by the end of the week I'm thinking EU and RoW backers should all have tracking numbers. If you are in Asia and did not receive an email from VFI its because your packages are being handled by a secondary shipper in your country. You should have your games soon!

As many of your know Quodd Heroes is designed to be a playground for scenario creation and with that in mind, during the campaign I promised to share the files (and software) for map creation. Today I have finally gathered all of the bits and pieces together and packaged them in what I hope is a usable form.

Since people have started receiving their copies of Quodd Heroes I have been deluged with rules questions in various places. In an effort to gather those questions and answers into one place several helpful Quodd Heroes fans (and fellow backers) have helped compile the Questions and Answers from BGG, Facebook and the comment thread on Kickstarter for the time being that is located in a Google sheets doc located here:
Please note: this is an open document that anyone can edit and add questions to. If you have a question you don't see answered please add it to the bottom and I (or someone else) will get to it as quickly as possible!
Wonderment Games Shop
The Wonderment Games shop is now live and is basically the only place to buy Quodd Heroes for now. This is where you can purchase the game and expansions / addons sold during the campaign. Supplies are pretty limited so if you missed the addons or know someone who is interested in picking up their own copy of the game please let them know to go to:
