Hi Heroes!

I hope you all had an amazing long weekend. For me it was great to see that spring has finally arrived here in Ottawa and I very much enjoyed the sunny long weekend! 

I am delighted to see that reviews for the game have been exceptionally positive so far which is hugely gratifying. There have been lots of rules questions and clarifications happening on BGG, the community forums, and Facebook so if you have questions please take a look there first as you may find your questions have already been answered.  What all of these questions amount to is that the rulebook could have been better. In my defence which such a new concept explaining the rules in the right order and thoroughly is a bit of a challenge. Needless to say I will be updating the rules on an ongoing basis and making PDFs available along the way! I will also have a rules FAQ on the Quodd Heroes site when it goes live (hopefully later this week.

Shipping News

Au/NZ/EU/RoW

I woke this morning to comments on the Kickstarter seeing that HappyShops and Artherworks have started sending out emails to EU / RoW, and Au / NZ backers respectively, which is fantastic news! I can't wait for all of your to get and hopefully love your games! According to Annika at HappyShops they will begin sending out packages at the end of the week! Wooo!

Asia

For backers in Asia, your packages have all been sent out but apparently VFI did not send out emails along with the shipments so I guess you will just have to wait patiently for your packages to arrive.

Component List

Because it turns out that the content list on the box doesn't perfectly match the actual game contents (the box is wrong not the contents). I will show you guys and write the number and colour of each item you should see in your box.

Please not: the box sleeve and foiled world event decks were not produced. For the box sleeve backers indicated it was a waste of money (I agreed), for the foiled world events, this would add difficulty for future expansions etc, as it would mean I would have to produce foiled event cards in each future expansion just for KS backers in order for them to match up. This seemed like a bad idea so it was scratched.

Here is a full list of components:

BASE GAME

Please note: the world events for this expansion mentioned as a KS stretch goal were swapped for 2 additional food cards.

Website and Game sales

The Quodd Heroes website should be live this week (fingers crossed) which will include a shop where the game can be purchased. I will be selling the remainder of the KS edition stock there. The game will sell for $100 USD for the base game, but expansions and dice add-ons will also be available but also at a slightly higher price than during the KS campaign. I am also willing to sell to bricks and mortar retail stores in limited quantities so you have a FLGS that you think might want to carry the game please direct them to contact: [email protected]

Fulfillment Update

Hey Heroes!

Good news, as it stands most of you in the US, Canada and Asia regions should have received shipment notices by now. Australia is due to start shipping as soon as they clean out their backlog.

Happyshops is gearing up to ship out the games to Kickstarter backers as well. Spielschmiede backers have already started receiving their packages due to a mixup with Happyshops shipping out those orders first. Fear not though everyone else should start receiving their orders very soon!

If you are in any of these regions and have not yet received and shipping notice by the end of the week please send an email to: [email protected] and I will look into it. 

If you have received your game and have issues please contact Quartermaster  

There are few orders stuck in BackerKit with unpaid balances, failed credit card charges etc. that I am going through and trying to clear up and emailing those backers individually.

Super Limited Edition Backers - Painted Minis Update

Hi SUPER Heroes,

Note: This update is only for those who backed at the Super Limited Edition level.

As people are starting to get shipping notices in the USA I figured I should be updating you guys on your painted miniatures.  The short story is that I'm still working on them. I will be shipping the painted minis (and a few bonus items) to you guys directly from me here in Canada as soon as they are ready. Due to the extreme amount of work involved you be receiving just one painted mini for each character (all 11 characters). I hope you understand this as each miniature takes about 2.5-3 hours to paint and I'm just one person. 

Here are the bonus items I plan to include for you guys:

• extra crystals so that you have 6 of each crystal color
• extra sheep minis
• a signed certificate of awesomeness as a thank you for your special pledge
• the set of 3 Quodd Heroes promo cards that were given out at GenCon and Essen
• extra special bonus that I will reveal before shipping them off to you guys.

Thanks again for your patience, I do realize that during the Kickstarter you guys were supposed to get your stuff early but for any number of reasons that just wasn't possible.  

Thank you all very much for you patience, I hope you get a chance to enjoy the base game for a few weeks before you get your painted goodies!

Shipping News and Dice Tower review!

Hi Heroes!

Thanks for your continued patience in waiting for your games! 

USA, Canada, Aus/NZ, Asia Shipping

As many have noted in the comments thread the games have been sitting in the Asia, US, and AUS / NZ shipping hubs for a few weeks now. The reason that shipping hasn't begun is that they needed to calculate shipping costs for all of the packages, that took time with all of the games arriving after Chinese New Year and each hub dealing with their own back-log of projects. I received the invoice from QML on Monday, found a few issues with it and received a new invoice yesterday. I will be sending payment to them this week a wire transfer may take a few days to clear then its back in their court. I'm hoping that shipping will start next week but I will know better once I hear back from Quartermaster. For Canada shipments the games will take time to move from Florida to Canada before Snakes and Lattes can start to ship to backers. Each hub will have their own schedule, but rest assured that you will have your games soon!!

Europe / RoW Shipping

The Shipment bound for HappyShops in Germany should have arrived in Germany yesterday. The process to get the games to HappyShops and for their shipping process to get rolling with take at least 2 weeks to begin from there.. so a little more waiting here as well. I will keep all of you posted when HappyShops receives the games and the process of getting the games out to you guys begins.

As promised during the campaign I am working on how-to-play videos for Quodd Heroes for those of you who don't like reading rule books. The videos should be finished and posted early next week!

Fulfillment Starting soon in some regions!

Hi Heroes!

I will cut right to the chase:

North America, Asia, Australia and NZ 

• Games have landed in Florida and will be at Quartermaster by the end of the week
• Australia/NZ games will have arrive at Aetherworks by early next week
• VFI should already have games in hand for Asia fulfillment
• Canadian Orders will be shipped to Snakes and Lattes from QuarterMaster and should arrive in Canada around the first week of April.

I have sent the final backer data off to Quatermaster who will hand off the backer data to the other hubs they are working with. Shipping to backers should be starting soon. I will let you know as soon as that begins.

Europe and Rest of World

The ship bound for Germany (HappyShops) is scheduled to arrive at the port in Germany on April 2. Games should arrive to Happyshops within a week or 2 after that. I will keep you posted as to when all of this happens and games begin to ship out!

Dice Tower Coverage for Quodd Heroes

A few weeks back the folks at the Dice Tower did a few videos featuring Quodd Heroes, an unboxing and a live play-through video. I'm hopeful that a review will follow at some point but who knows if / when that will happen. The good news is that I think they had fun playing, Tom most of all it would seem.

Backers with Credit card Issues and incomplete surveys:

There are still 14 backers who have credit card charging issues through backerkit. Please check your email and junk box and your order on BackerKit to make sure this is not you. If your order isn't successfully charged, and/or your survey is incomplete you will NOT receive your game(s). Emails have been send on multiple occasions to those backer in question (nearly 70 incomplete surveys), many times. If you are still having trouble please email support @ WondermentGames.com or contact me directly through KS and I will try to help sort it out. We are really running out of time at this point!

Super Limited Edition Backers (painted minis)

To those of you who ordered the Super Limited Edition (painted minis) you will be receiving your games through standard fulfillment first and the minis will follow soon after and come directly from me. I realize the KS said you guys would get everything first, but sadly it won't work out that way. The bonus is that you will have a full set of ink-washed minis from the game plus the hand painted set I will send :)  

Yes will be trying to produce a painting guide for painting the minis as I work on completing them. The extent and sophistication of the painting guide is yet to be seen but I will let you know as I plan for this.

A few other very important things that are coming soon are the how to play videos for the game along with the Quodd Heroes website. Look for news about these soon!
