Fab Friday (Thursday?) Update: Progress!

Happy Friday Heroes!
While it is technically Thursday today it sure feels like a Friday to me! Its been a few weeks since the last update and that's because there was nothing new to report. This week I have some news!
Today marks the day that we have all print files (English and German) complete and submitted to Panda! Once they send me digital proofs for the German files (and one last punchboard proof we are ready to launch into full production on the printed materials. This is a LOOOONNG awaited but HUGE milestone! I can't express how happy this makes me.
The French language cards will be produced at the same time. I am waiting on that translation still. Hopefully these will be ready soon. Fear not though, they won't delay overall production and WILL ship along with the rest of the game for those of you who ordered them.
DICE!
A few days ago I received a package in the mail from China. Inside were dice samples from the production molds. Here is what they look like:

Not that the base game dice are the blue and white pair, the rest are part of the Dice and cloth bags add-on. Remember that you can still add the dice to your order if you wish by logging into your BackerKit account and sending a support request to the Backerkit team. They will get you sorted!

Production Status - Oct 18th
Some of you are already guessing that fulfillment won't likely happen before the end of the year. This is greatly disappointing to everyone (me most of all), However, the ball is rolling down hill now and momentum is building. You will have your games soon! (relatively speaking of course).
Essen Spiel
Once again Quodd Heroes will have a small presence at Essen Spiel in Germany starting next week. I'm very excited to show off the pre-production copy I showed everyone at Gen Con in August and give people a chance to play the game. Stop by the booth to say hi! I would love to chat with you!
We have a great team at the booth again this year including Ben, Marco, Nadine, Jan and Kerstin. It should be a fantastic time! The best part of conventions is the people and I'm super excited to see new and old friends alike!
I will be posting an update from Essen next week.

Some important news this week:
Miniature Production is Underway!
On Thursday last week I received the fixed samples for Mayor Trixie, Aang and Rock. I am delighted to report that all are good now and I gave Panda the go-ahead on the minis. According to David they will have started production on Friday (producing the molds and proceeding form there). That is a huge milestone and means we are one step closer to getting the game out to you guys!

Image on the left is the fixed back side of Rok. Notice the clean detail near the front that was missing from the version on the right.
Pledge Manager Unlocked (for some).
After showing off the components from the pre-production copy of the game at GenCon and since a number of people have asked to have their BackerKit unlocked so that they can add either the dice add-on or the Underground expansion. Last week I talked to Backerkit and then have unlocked all pledges for Backers who have not yet added any funds through backerkit (about 1000 of you). This will be a very limited time opportunity so if you wish to add either the dice or Underground expansion you can login to BackerKit and do that now. If you have already added funds through Backerkit and wish to do that login into backerkit and send a help request the BackerKit team can assist you with it.

Hi Heroes,
Sorry for the delay in updates. Things have been hectic around here the past few weeks with work (including Quodd Heroes) and life with back to school for my kids etc. September is always a crazy time!
For Quodd Heroes things are are moving along behind the scenes nicely. I have final colour samples from the molds for the first player coin and I think they look great:

I also received the new cloth bags and I think they are MUCH better. I have opted for screen printing and I think you will agree that they look a lot better than the previous samples I showed:

Final dice samples have still not arrived nor have the revised models for Mayor and Rok. I'm assured that these are incoming... Will keep you posted.
I just received (Yesterday) the final digital proofs for the English print files and they look fantastic. German files are basically finished according to the German team, they're going through final edits.
I will be giving the go-ahead on the English print files tomorrow with hopefully the final German files to follow shortly (later this week I hope).
For the French language cards I will have news soon. Fear not though, they will be ready in time for print production in the next couple of weeks. I have been communicating with some French companies that may be interested in publishing/licensing so that has held up the translation process. I will be making a call on what to do about this, this week and will get the French cards moving once that decision is made.

Look for a stream announcement soon. I will be resuming regular streams this upcoming week but may do a surprise stream later this week if time allows.
What does all this mean for delivery timelines? I will get a specific answer for you from Panda tomorrow and have it in an update on Friday. We don't want more delays but ultimately I only get one real shot at this and I want the game to be as great as I can make it!
Essen Spiel:
As I have mentioned previously Quodd Heroes will be at Spiel in Essen next month and I've very exciting to be demoing and showing off the components to all of the backers (and everyone else) who attends. Please stop by booth: 6B116 which is in hall 6. It should be a fantastic event once again and I can't wait to see all of you!
